FastrCAT is being deployed for the first time during the 2019 field season. The goal of FastrCAT is to streamline in-situ processing of data retrieved from FastCAT/SeaCAT oceanographic instruments that collect depth, density, temperature, and salinity. The files which are generated can be a little unruly and are not in a human readable, tidy format. The primary function in this R package binds together the individual files which are generated for each cast/station and create a data-frame and a report. The report provides statistical information about the files, maps, plots, and errors which could be present in the files. This way users out at sea can correct for data entry errors and instrument issues before they become a compound problem. The package also provides functions to create visualizations and maps of the temperature and salinity data.
